The Adams County Community Foundation Giving Spree is happening now!

Please join us by making a gift to support the nonprofits you care about most. It’s easy. Simply review the Giving Spree Guide for Donors for a list and description of participating nonprofits, then:

Give online

Visit www.ACCFGivingSpree.org on November 3 any time between 12:01 a.m. and 12:00 midnight to complete your donation online. It’s quick, convenient and secure.

Drop it off

If you don’t wish to give online, complete a Giving Spree Donation Form and bring it and a gift to the Gettysburg Times at 1570 Fairfield Road, Gettybsurg, PA 17325 on November 3 between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. for curbside giving. You’ll get a personal thank-you and a friendly wave from our wonderful volunteers and scores of nonprofit representatives.

Mail it in

Can’t make it to the drop off? Complete the Giving Spree Donation Form and mail it with your gift to: Adams County Community Foundation, 25 South 4th St. Gettysburg, PA 17325. Please mail your donation early to ensure we have your gift in time for the Giving Spree on November 3rd. (Please date your check the day you write it. No need to post-date checks for Nov. 3)

Remember – you choose: give for today or give forever

Choose how your gift will be used: A donation for today will go to the organization you designate for their immediate use. A donation that will give forever will be used as endowment and provide an annual gift to the organization you designate for years and decades to come.

Can I give to a Community Foundation fund not listed here?

To make a gift to any Community Foundation fund, use code “04” and fill in the name of the fund on your donation form. You can see a complete list of Community Foundation funds at  AdamsCountyCF.org, under “For Donors”.

What can I give?

You can give by check or credit card using the Donation Form. You can also transfer stock, make a Qualified Charitable Distribution from your IRA, or recommend a grant from your donor-advised fund at the Community Foundation or another institution.

Does the Adams County Community Foundation take a fee on Giving Spree donations?

No.  100% of gifts go directly to the nonprofits you choose. As an added bonus, an “Incentive Match” is distributed to the participating nonprofits in proportion to the amount they raised during the Giving Spree – increasing each donor gift!

Are donations tax deductible?

Yes, donations to the Adams County Community Foundation (a 501c3 public charity) are tax deductible as allowed by law. The charitable status of each nonprofit has been verified by the Adams County Community Foundation.

When and how will I receive my gift acknowledgement for tax purposes?

The Adams County Community Foundation will send your gift acknowledgement, which will serve as your tax receipt, for the total amount of your donation.

• Online credit card gifts will receive an immediate acknowledgement by email.
• Gifts by check, IRA (qualified charitable distributions) stock transfer and all other gift types will receive a mailed acknowledgment by December 31.
• The Community Foundation will notify the nonprofit(s) you selected. They may send you an informal thank you.

What is the Incentive Match and can I donate to it?

The Incentive Match helps all participating nonprofits. At the close of the Giving Spree, the Incentive Match is distributed to the participating nonprofits in proportion to the amount they raised during the Giving Spree. You can donate to it by including a gift to the “Incentive Match” (#99 on the list) on the Donation Form.

Thanks to our sponsors, nonprofits pay nothing to participate. 100% of donor gifts support the nonprofits they choose. As an added bonus, an “Incentive Match” is distributed to the participating nonprofits in proportion to the amount they raised during the Giving Spree – increasing each donor gift!
