Born and raised in Adams County, Ron and Carolyn Hankey have a huge heart for this community and have been good community stewards in Adams County over many years.
As a banker all his career, Ron’s work allowed him to stay in Gettysburg and champion causes that were important, not only to him but to Adams County. He is most happy with his ability to be able to start-up programs, like Main Street Gettysburg, the HART Center and AREMS, as well as to provide leadership to Gettysburg Hospital and the Adams County Economic Development Corporation.
Carolyn raised their family of two children and then worked in an administrative position at the Gettysburg Area School District.
Ron and Carolyn believe Adams County Community Foundation is an important institution in this community. In the future, their Donor Advised Fund will support the Fund for Adams County.
