The George H. and Roberta B. Wood Fund was Adams County Foundation’s first fund. George Wood was a Rotarian who retired from NASA where he managed procurement for the Apollo missions. He and his wife held a special interest in the Gettysburg YWCA. They established two funds: one to distribute a $1,000.00 annual grant to the YWCA and the second to address community needs.
