Community Foundation Presents Charitable Planning Seminar for local Professional Advisors and their Clients
The Adams County Community Foundation will host a breakfast seminar at the Guthrie Memorial Library in Hanover on May 8, 2018 beginning at 8:00 am entitled “Charitable Planning through Community Foundations” for Professional Advisors and their clients presented by Bryan Tate, President of Building Unrestricted, LLC.
This seminar will focus on the charitable planning options available through Community Foundations. The session will review advised, scholarship and other charitable funds and gifting strategies in light of recent tax law changes. Bryan Tate, incoming President of Rotary Club of York, is President of Building Unrestricted, a consulting firm focused on assisting community foundations across the country that are concentrating on growing their discretionary assets.
Previously, Tate served for 14 years as Vice President at York County Community Foundation, having led both its grantmaking and fundraising departments, where he worked with donors and families to create the legacy they want for the community they love. A native of York County and a graduate of Spring Grove High School and Temple University, Tate also served 12 years as Chief of Staff to Congressman Todd Platts, who represented Adams County, York County and South-Central Pennsylvania in the US House of Representatives.
Active in a number of community organizations, Tate is a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary Club of York, President of the Board of the Central PA Leadership Seminar of Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership, and is founder of the Spring Grove Alumni Chorus. Professionally, Tate is Chairman of York County Estate Planning Council, Program Chair of Leave A Legacy York County, and serves as a regular speaker for the Council on Foundations and its professional groups.
