Bruce A. Hollabaugh was born on April 1, 1980 and was taken from our lives unexpectedly on March 13, 2022.
Bruce grew up on our fruit farm and quickly came to love both fruit trees and horticulture. He graduated from Penn State with degrees in Horticulture and Spanish and spent his adult life applying his talents in tree fruit production and Spanish to benefit the family farm, his incredible production team, the tree fruit industry, and his community.
He was well known for his generous spirit in offering interpretation services to the school district for parent-teacher conferences when bi-lingual support was beneficial. As a School Director, he further invested his time and talents in the lives of the entire Upper Adams School District community.
Bruce was a leader in the tree fruit industry and was respected by his colleagues both in the production and academic side of the industry. He especially enjoyed chairing the Research Committee for the State Horticultural Association of PA where fellow fruit growers could provide guidance for important tree fruit research.
Above everything, Bruce loved his family (and his puppies!) and was engaged in the lives of his children in every aspect possible. And so, we have created this Endowment Fund to honor and remember Bruce. His legacy will live on to benefit the charities and community initiatives for which he cared deeply in life.
