The staff of the Adams County Community Foundation is available to provide answers, process transactions and help you complete your year-end charitable giving until the last day of the year. Our offices will be closed on Monday, December 26, but will be open for business weekdays through Saturday, December 31, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

2022 Year-end Giving Deadlines

You can make a gift to a new or any existing Community Foundation fund. For new funds, please contact us prior to making your gift. Most new funds can be established in less than a day.  

So that we can provide the best possible service and ensure your charitable gifts qualify for a charitable income tax deduction in the 2022 tax year, please keep these important dates in mind:

• Gifts of appreciated stock must be received by end of day on December 30, 2022. Please be aware that depending on the brokerage, there may be a delay between initiating the transfer and the stock being received in our account and plan accordingly. Please notify rserpe@adamscountycf.org of the transfer. Be sure to tell us the stock symbol and number of shares and approximate value you are gifting.
• Checks sent via the U.S. Postal Service must be postmarked on or before December 31, 2022.
• Checks sent via carriers such as FedEx, UPS and DHL must be physically received at 25 S 4^th Street, Gettysburg, PA 17325, on or before 5:00 p.m. on December 31, 2022.
• Wire transfers of cash must be received no later than 3:00 p.m. on December 30, 2022.
• Credit card gifts made by phone by 5:00pm on December 31, 2022 or online until midnight on December 31, 2022.
