Nov 20, 2015 For Immediate Release - STAND FOR ADAMS COUNTY. . . PASS A BUDGET NOW, Gettysburg, PA. On Monday, November 23, the PA budget impasse enters its 146th day. What that means to Adams County non-profits and school districts, indeed, non-profit organizations and school districts across PA is that since July 1, no state funding has been provided to support the operations and services they provide. In many instances the State is also holding Federal money that is typically passed through the State to non-profit organizations. Read the full Press Release

Adams County Community Foundation announces its Grant-making support to the Robert C. Hoffman Charitable Endowment Trust. Our professional staff will be guiding the Advisory Committee of the Trust in their 2014 Grant Rounds this season. Organizations wishing to apply for a grant from the Hoffman Trust may access the Grant Proposal Packet for the Hoffman Trust on this website in RECEIVE. The great patriot and Revolutionary War statesman, Ben Franklin, left a testamentary trust which was to accumulate principal and interest for a period of 200 years, and them be distributed to two designated beneficiaries, namely, the City of Philadelphia and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Dr. Charles H. Glatfelter Scholarship Fund This scholarship is offered to ancestors of Casper Glattfelder who was the first of his long family to arrive in the United States in 1743. Adams County Community Foundation will begin accepting applications for this scholarship in January 2018.

The Elizabeth Ferciot Roby Art Scholarship - Bettie Roby raised three children with her husband Charlie, putting her love of painting on hold while her children were young. With her children grown, she was able to pursue her love of art. She studied at the Schuler School of Fine Arts, driving to Baltimore from Fairfield daily for four years. Upon completion, she opened a studio at her home in Fairfield, PA, creating beautiful art and teaching classes there. She loved to teach. She passed away in 2014.

The Elizabeth Ferciot Roby Art Scholarship was established by her daughter, Marcia and her husband Todd to recognize a student or adult pursuing post-secondary education at a school, college or university in the field of art, preferably studio art, but other forms of art such as photography, sculpture, or pottery may be considered. The 2017 scholarship is $500.

The Emory H. & Luther D. Snyder Littlestown Foundry, Inc. Scholarship -This scholarship is a $1,000 per year renewable (up to four years) scholarship open to any student who is a direct descendent of a current full-time employee or official retiree of Littlestown Foundry, Inc. Students may live outside of Adams County. Owners or family members of Littlestown Foundry, Inc. stockholders are ineligible for this scholarship. This scholarship is renewable for up to four years. The 2017 scholarship is $1,000.
